Bridgwater Business Security Group update (BBSG)

Both Retail Watch and Pub Watch are now up and running. The BBSG have secured some Home Office funding, via the Safer Sedgemoor Partnership, to pump prime this initiative. This has ensured progress on the recruitment of a part-time Crime Co-ordinator. This position has been advertised and should be appointed prior to the Christmas trading period. The draft application for the ‘Safer Shopping Award’ has been submitted to the Home Office and the schemes in Bridgwater will be assessed during November 2002.
