Welcome to the Autumn/Winter issue of
Bridgwater On-Line, the Town Centre Partnership Newsletter. Our aim is to keep
businesses updated on partnership activities, general Town Centre News &
Events and signposting to other partners or services that support the day-to-day
business functions of Bridgwater. We are interested in hearing your opinions
about this newsletter and will listen to your views to improve future
editions.
This Newsletter is produced for your
benefit and provides the opportunity for matters to be raised with all agencies
involved with the town centre, take advantage of this opportunity and either
write, fax, email or phone this office.
Both Retail Watch and Pub Watch are now
up and running. The BBSG have secured some Home Office funding, via the Safer
Sedgemoor Partnership, to pump prime this initiative. This has ensured progress
on the recruitment of a part-time Crime Co-ordinator. This position has been
advertised and should be appointed prior to the Christmas trading period. The
draft application for the ‘Safer Shopping Award’ has been submitted to the
Home Office and the schemes in Bridgwater will be assessed during November 2002.
Christmas Magic
"Everyone is welcome to get involved, together we can
promote Bridgwater and help make Christmas
shopping a pleasure for both locals and visitors".
