Due to requests from visitors to the site a photo album of different
views of Bridgwater has been created. Hopefully the range of images
used will give an idea of what Bridgwater is like. If you feel there
should more photos or that i have missed something, or you have a
photo you would like to add to the album then please contact

The latest edition of Bridgwater on Line, the Town Centre Newsletter
has been released and contains articles on the Bridgwater Business
Profiles, the Town Centre beat, Sales Legislation, Bridgwater Business
Security Group, Somerfest 2003, Plans for Christmas and the ever
present bridgwater.net article.

Somerfest 2003, Bridgwaters Third Annual Community Arts Festival
was held over the weekend of the 4th, 5th and 6th of July with nearly
40 different events taking place, from craft workshops, exhibitions,
barbershop music, street theatre and art and drama events to live
music and the 'Something for the Weekend' Fete and Music event.
Official photographer for the weekend was Ian Beech and a selection
of his photographs from the various events, with his kind permission,
are now available to view.

| Bridgwater gains the 'Safer Shopping Award'. |

The Bridgwater Business Security Group (BBSG) has proven that
partnership is the key to effective Crime Management. On 17 February
2003 the Home Office will be presenting the BBSG with the “Safer
Shopping Award”. This ceremony will be attended by all the
partners, local businesses and Sedgemoor District Council representatives.
The award follows the Home Office accreditation assessment that
was completed in November 2002. Bridgwater is only the 57th town
in the country to achieve this award.

Somerfest 2002, Bridgwaters Community Arts Festival was held
