Last year, during Bridgwater’s first Community Arts Festival, a number of artists worked at paintings and drawings, completing them within the day. This was a new experience for those taking part who were able to discuss their work and share information with interested members of the public. Once again as a part of Bridgwater’s Community Arts Festival, artists are invited to set up their easels in Angel Place to execute a painting or drawing of their choice. This will be an opportunity for you, your group or class to publicise your activities and, if you wish, offer work for sale. Most of all it will be an opportunity for members of the public to see and talk with artists at work and celebrate the wealth of local artistic talent. Perhaps they may also be motivated to express themselves creatively in the future. Over the weekend a variety of artistic skills will be celebrated, including performance, music of many kinds, bell ringing, exhibitions, street theatre, circus skills, art installations, dance, floral art et cetera. If you would like to take part in this particular event, please complete the form below or e-mail BAC@totalserve.co.uk by 30 June 2002. Return to Top |
