Breaking the Surface - Michael Pinsky

A silent world comes up for air, a sound and light event in Bridgwater Docks.

Years of archaeological debris lurks deep below the surface of Bridgwater Docks.

Over three evenings, this silent world will be given new life as it is brought to the surface and magically lit to create moving patterns of light across the surface of the water.

A strange and beautiful soundtrack will emanate from the spaces around the docks, the open windows of cars, apartments and boats, to form an intricate three dimensional sonic experience.

The artist Michael Pinsky has created 'Breaking the Surface' in collaboration with local artists, young people and dock residents.
