Bridgwater is the hub of the South Western Region of Somerfield Stores, employing with it's contractors, Wincanton Logistics , around 700 people making it one of the largest employers in the town.
Somerfield's Ambient or dry goods depot is situated on the left hand side of the main road in Huntworth Business Park and the Fresh food depot, run by Wincanton Logisitics is on the right hand side of the road.
In addition to it's warehousing and distribution services, the Bridgwater Depot is also home to part of Somerfield's National Distribution Support Department, internally known as D.A.T.A.
